Questions
Short answers to the things people ask before their first top-up.
Do credits expire?
No. Nothing in the product removes credits from a wallet over time; what you buy stays there until you spend it.
Is there a subscription?
No. There are no monthly plans and no tiers to pick between. You buy credits, each request spends some, and that is the whole arrangement.
What about VAT?
The KES 12 price already includes 16% VAT, so nothing is added when you pay. Every top-up gets a receipt that shows the VAT amount, which you can download as a PDF.
How much can I top up?
Any amount from KES 35 to KES 3,500 per top-up. Credits are KES 12 each, so KES 120 becomes 10 credits. The four amounts in the top-up examples are only shortcuts; you can type any figure in the range.
What happens when my balance reaches zero?
Requests pause until you top up. Nothing is deleted and nothing is owed. Any positive balance opens every tier and every tool again; there is no part of the product that needs a particular plan.
You are warned before you get there: Low-balance warning with top-up shortcut
Can I get a refund?
Purchased credits are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise (Terms, section 3). If something went wrong with a top-up, write to the address in the Terms and we will look at it.
Where can I pay from?
You can use HEWA from anywhere. Top-ups work from Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa: by mobile money where it is available, otherwise by card or bank transfer. Prices are in KES with a USD reference. Kenya
